From what i've heard (correct me if i'm wrong), Red Rocks is closed due to the government shutdown nonsense. My question: can you still climb at Black Velvet Canyon or walk in from the main road to first creek, etc?

I heard something about rangers still out there fining people who hike in but haven't confirmed if that's true.

You can climb on federal land (BLM) that lies *outside* the boundaries of RRNCA. I believe this would include Black Velvet canyon but unsure of First Creek.
