Hey Barney, No need for post holes. Just make some A-frames. I briefly describe how in the post titled: "building a slackline" For anchors, I've pounded rebar into the dirt.

My buddy has a sweet rig in his treeless yard. He placed a peice of 2" tube steel in concrete, flush with the ground at each end of the slackline location. He then slides another peice of tube steel down into these. He used 1/2" eyebolts as the anchor points on the tube steel. The cool thing about this rig, is you can remove the inserted peices and mow right over the concrete receiver end, like they where never there. He also put them at a slight angle, away from the pull of the line (not perfectly straight up-n-down) Good luck!
