yup, it's pretty easy. I made a metolius type for about 12 bucks. Works like a charm.

I just got a bag from a friend that I will duplicate because I love the design. It is a round tarp (4' diameter)that has a draw string around the outer edge. All you do is flake the rope in the center and grab the string on both sides and pull. The bag is cinched up and ready to carry to the next climb or drop into your backpack. I also own a Metolious bag, I think it is to much work compared to this new one. I just wonder why they don't sell it anymore? Email me if you want some pics and dimensions? hrlaura@netzero.net

My wife made me the coolest bag where I keep my rope, rack, helmet, and just about anything I need for the crag... if only these kinds of things made money!

rope bag is easy to make. just make sure you get some durable waterproof material. then go to a store, look for one and copy the design.
