If climbing was to become illegal in two days, and all climbable formations were to be blown up where would you climb? You only have one day and had to pick one "area"

I would pick Smith...just because of the personal nastalgia (sp?)
Cant wait to hear yours?

daisuke you wouldnt be able to do that you would need food and water also

as for me it would be a hrd choice betwen the red river gorge, the gunks, j-tree or el portero
the gunks are alot closer so i could get in more climbing. and they wouldnt be able to blow everything up since there are alot of nice buildings to climb

Third Vote for El Cap.

But if you were going to die, why not climb something already illegal, like Shiprock? Unless them Injuns kill you before you get to it.

TRADitionally yours,

Thats a tuffy. I guess it would be a tossup between Red River, Sinks Canyon, or J-Tree.

Are they blowing up mountains too? If so...the Wickersham Wall on Denali... 14,000 feet of vertical mixed climbing, the tallest cliff in N.America. Sigh...

I would boulder more. All the debris from the explosions is sure to leave some big enough to boulder. A lot of new guide books would have to be made. As for the illegal thing, it wouldn't be the first time I fracture a law.

As much as I'd like to say Yosemite (el cap), my real love for the rock was born here in Red Rocks. I'd go blast out Resolution Arete, and make sure I was on the summit, giving the bird to the bastard who was about to blow it up when they came by!

I'd go to one of backwoods crags in the Red. They're all in this dense rhododendron jungle and they'd easily be overlooked as the powers that be come in to blow up the lode, roadside, and military wall.
