Hey,
I'm 20 years old and have been bouldering since September 2002 (mostly at Stronghold and the UofC). I have yet to climb on the wall/mountain but I have a strong desire to. For Christmas I got a climbing harness but as previously mentioned, due to various circumstances, I haven't had the opportunity to use it. If there's anyone else just getting into the sport and looking for a partner, please email me at frozen_ocean18@hotmail.com.

I'm assuming you're referring to a previous post of mine where I mentioned a guy I was dating at the time. Well... some good things come to an end.

I'd like to take up the sport (beyond bouldering) and hopefully find other people who are passionate about it too. Many of my close friends don't have the desire to learn the sport right now so I'm starting back at square one, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Thanks for the emails/messages I've already received.

well Calgary is a good place to start! :)

Not far from Grassi and Heart Creek near canmore.. so be sure to get outside in the summer!!!

I've never really liked the staff at the stronghold when i was down there.. they never are very talkative and never smile!!! Always feel like I'm intruding :P

The biggest milestone is getting over the fear of being up so high... especially when leading! Do a lot of toproping and leading inside before heading out.

Good Luck! I might be moving down there in a few months, should gather all the calgary climbers up and plan some outdoor trips.

There is a trip i think planned to Skaha during Easter Break if you are interested. Not sure of its status though.
