I know a lot people out there have Tricams sitting in a box in the closet many never having been placed most having just been fiddled with once or twice and then retired to the dust bin. If you want to free up some space let me know what you've got. The only size I absolutely don't need or want is the pink (.5). I really need sizes above 2.0.

Thanks.

small tris do rock but I have doubles of some of them. Reds and browns are useful at belays where nothing else works. out of 4 gear belays today tricams were the centerpiece off all of them. As a matter of fact without them I would have been up a shit creek.

Hi,
They may sell them in gear stores, or, possibly at one of the site sponsor sites you can click on right here at RC.com.
Whooda thunk?

youre right, or I could get them used from some of the many people that feel they are worthless for around $10 a piece doing both of us a favor. It's really just economics. I'm also trying to double and triple up and do so on a budget. Tricams don't cost very much but 10 tri cams or more is still $200, why pay $200 when I can probably get them for half that????

BTW, all tricams above 2.5 cost more than $20. I just added a 2.5 yeserday at $24 at my local gear shop -about the same price as a budget cam. So they aren't cheap despite the simplicity that makes them only slightly more involved to make then a nut or hex. But if you know a place where I can get tris for much less new, I will gladly use brand spanking new ones.

hey pico,

check our eBay. someone is selling the larger half of a Tricam set. not sure what the price is at..

BTW, did you know that "pico" means navel in Hawaii? FYI...

Thanks, Ebay has been fruitless for tri cams of late and usually they sell for a few bucks less then NEW retail. My feeling is used gear should be about 50% of new price. If it is 80% i'll save for any extra paycheck and go new.

I didn't know it meant navel!!! Is that a good a bad thing? I mean if you called someone a pico in hawaii would it be a insult or term of endearment? Anyway, pico is just the last sylable of my last name and a nik name but I believe in spanish is does mean peak which is pretty cool.
