bolting cobblestone?

i have never bolted a route before. how do you put in bolts, especially with a hand drill? And if anyone knows, can you bolt a cobblestone wall, like of a church for instance, not that i would do that? would the stones hold in the mortar or rip out?

I'd say if you want to have roped buildering, just stick with a top rope- much less work.

We have a wall in So Cal north of Ojai that is a natural cobblestone. I believe most of the bolts are in the stones themselves, not in the matrix. Some of them are quite large and only God knows how deep they are. Probably same with most cobblestone walls.
