What is a good one to take everywhere? Is there a good point and shoot to take slides with? I'm asking for a friend. I figured if you were going to invest the money to shoot slide I would start with a better camera, but that is beside the point. What do you guys/gals think? Thanks, Steve

I use a Yashica T4 with fuji provia 100. Does a pretty good job and what I like best, easy to carry.

Olympus Stylus Epic, lately with Provia 400. I'm usually puffing or getting blown around when I'm carrying it in the Tetons and the extra speed is nice. Both it and the Provia 100F scan well for me.

I saw a few recommendations for Olympus XA 4 - 28mm Zuiko lens, really small and cheap if you buy it used on ebay. Disclaimer: never used it myself...

Rollei Prego 100WA with Fuji Sensia 100 color slide film. The optics are excellent ant the camera does not feel like a toy like most point and shoot cameras. The front panel is brushed aluminum so it is really durable. Best 35mm point and shoot for the money. Check ebay and the web for good deals on it.

My Olympic Stylus Epic has survived a 40-foot drop in the Red (film didn't even fall out!) and various chimney and falling incidents on El Cap without so much but a few scratches. And it still can produce images comparable to my Canon SLR. Buy it.
