Paul, Paul here. I'll be around during that time. Weekends are good, as are some days during the week, depending on workload etc. I usually get out 2-3 days a week depending, so I'm up there a bunch. Do you have a tick list? There's a bunch of new routes all over. If you haven't done the Grand add that to your list for sure. Paul

I have August off and want to go to Squamish for a while, though I have to figure out how to get there from Boston. I would love to climb with you - and I have experience.. I also have a rope and modest rack. Where will you be coming from?

The weekend of Aug.2 is a long weekend in BC. Might be a good one to avoid. I can't climb the weekends of Aug.9 and Aug.30. Either of the other two weekends are good for me, and I can be up to Squamish midweek by 2PM. How does Aug.16 weekend work for everyone? Especially the out of town people...?

I'm there probably around the 25th of July or so. Im most likely going to be crashing at crackman's place for a few days up in squampton but you still have my cell number I hope? if not just im me and you can get it again. I might even be convinved to show up earlier but I would have to clear that with the hostel owner first....Lorne?

cali dirtbag, i'll keep my fingers crossed about your getting into the country. glad to hear the 16th works for you and looking forward to sampling some of that red wine... crazylikeafawkes, i'd be happy to show you and your partner some sweeeet sport climbing at check canyon. we might have to enter stealth mode and sneak in there though, as there's some major highway construction going on at the entrance to the area. i'm assuming you guys are flying out as opposed to driving? pm me some details and we'll hook it up!

Well just to let everyone know, I won't be coming to Squamish in August. The whole process is just too much of a hassle, and that $130 non-refundable application fee is just a bit steep. Besides, the girl I am going with just broke her ring finger in a jumaring accident (climbing with dudes in the Valley who didn't know sh!t) and is getting her cast off like 3 days before we leave. So, sorry to disappoint you all, but I guess you will have to find someone to drink all the beer and lead all the hard trad (wait, isn't beer the reason I got into this whole fiasco?). Instead we plan on going to Calveras Dome, The Needles, Courtright Resevouir (I can't spell those french words), and maybe Tuolumne Meadows. But maybe next year when the finances are more in order I can get some time off around the same time of year and head up there. Also doing The Nose of El Cap this october, so I need to save some dough. Many bills and can't spend quite so much on gas. However, if any of you Canucks come down to Josh this winter, fire me a PM and I would gladly sandba...errr...I mean...show you some of the classics of the area. I am there every weekend in the winter when it is too cold at Tahquitz. TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag

In reply to: can't wait! i'm going to see BOTH oceans within a month. *happy dance of happiness* Erm....both, thought we had three oceans :P .......and I haven't ruled out a Squish/Skaha combo as part of my enforced roadtrip yet.
