I'm fairly new to climbing and bouldering in Northeastern Wyoming or around Sheridan, Wyoming is practically non-existent to my knowledge. I was just wondering if anyone around the Sheridan Area knew of any good spots. Whenever i go fly fishing i always bring my pad in my car just in case i find something but mot of it is either a really far hike or just not worth climbing.

I was just on a trip out west and on the way to Medicine Wheel (a huge dissapointment) there was alot of sweet stuff to climb. So if you can, just find some drive through that area and you should find endless amounts of problems. Just don't go to Medicine Wheel.

It was not my decision to go, and besides, all the pictures make it seem WAY bigger. It was only like 40' across, the pictures/tv made it seem like it was 200 or something.

Are you kidding me? The best bouldering is in the mountains.

jigs,

not much developed that way. some stuff over in cody, but that's a few hours. have some friends who keep searching the land but nohting yet. there is some granite you can see off the road once you cross the pass heading towards worland but nothing i no is developed or screaming to be climbed. my advice: get a rope.

ps

let me know if you find the stash!

Hey guys, Im in Powell now for school, but was in Sheridan for the last 5 years. There is some Boldering but its not great. Up Red Grade, there is "the Cube" that has some problems up it, and other problems on the other side of the road. Tounge River Canyon has some pretty good bouldering, but you are going to get some Ivy if you Bolder there, I recomend climbing some of the many trad or sport routes. If you fish, you have probably gone up Piney Creek...there is some boulders up there with set problems, but they are kinda hard to find. Get back a hold of me if you want more info, Ill give you my friends number and he might show ya around.
