I have two pairs of climbing shoes that need resoled. I live in Athens, OH and would like to send them away but i do not know where. I would prefer to send them close by (i.e. not California). Does anybody have a good recomendation? I would appreciate any details such as prices, turnaround time, liability, etc. Thanks for any help! -Zach

I had an excellent experience sending my shoes to Cresent Resoles in Charlottesville, VA. They have a web site and you can download an 'order' form. Good quality work with fast turnaround.

Send them in to Rock N Resole in Boulder. They usually turnaround a pair of shoes within a couple of days of receiving them. Their number is 303-444-7411. They'll let you know where to ship them, cost, turnaround etc.

You can also checkout the Friction Fix in Fayetteville, WV (the NRG). Work is done by Jason Babkirk, it used to be Flyin' Brian's shop . . . Jason does pretty good work and is usually willing to work with you if you need a quick turnaround. Seriously, pick up a Rock & Ice or Climbing (don;t buy it just grab it from the shelf for a few minutes) and flip to the back, you will see a ton of listings for resolers . . .
