im not sure about this so i figured you would cuz ya know you compete...
im doing USCCA this season and im 15 but im turning 16 in may (before the end of the season) so does this mean i have to compete i the 16-17 division for the whole season because i will be 16 before the end?
sorry if im not clear on what im asking im just curious

Yes, I believe you would compete in the 16-17 year old division.
I would assume it follows the JCCA (does that still exist) rules. If you're 19 now, but 20 before the season it up you can't compete.
This is an assumption though, not fact.

JCCA doesnt exists anymore...well it does but its USCCA now
i cant remember what it means but my coach said that adults can compete now.

Your best bet is to jump on www.juniorclimbing.com, that is the site for USCCA. The rules are long and kinda hard to get through but your answer is there. I personally cant remember, but I pretty sure that you would have to compete in the higher of the two age brackets. The point to USCCA is to bring competative climbing to be seen as a real sport. One with solid, strict rules, no prizes, just medals and trophies. With a set up like this, and large numbers of participants, a hope of making climbing an Olympic sport is most certainly involved. Dont get me wrong, I love the laxed format of the ABS, and think it is run extremely well, but there is a major need for something more structured. Let me know if anyone has questions on anything for USCCA and I can direct you to the correct place.
