If that is the case, as I'm sure it was, the owner is just trying to cut corners and save some cash. I say f____ him and turn whatever means of hot water on you can find.

I say f____ him and turn whatever means of hot water on you can find. I can't remember seeing any ads for climbing gyms that feature "full bathroom facilities" as a selling point, so I don't think the temperature of the water can figure--in any substantive way--into the discussion of whether you're recieving value for dollar on your day pass fee. Further, how do you know he didn't turn the hot water off because the heater was malfunctioning and burning everyone who used it? Suppose all water that went through the heater was contaminated with some impurity that was irritating or infecting the skin of everyone using it? Would you still say "F___ him" and monkey around with facilities you don't own and don't know about?

turn on the hot water, wait until it gets really really really hot, then stick your hands under the faucet until they start to blister and burn. then sue the gym owner for 5 million dollars. then you can buy the gym and have all the hot water you want!!

Are you sure you weren't climbing so hard your hands were smoking, and the water was hot, but felt cold to you? Gotta ask all those saps you left napping at the sit start to go test the water... Bet it burns their dainty unused fingerpads! p

Why not ask the gym owner why the hot water is shut off? He will probably reason with you and more than likely turn it back on. He could have been doing some plumbing and just forgot to turn it back on. Some kids could have been messing around and shut it off. Either way, it is best to ask rather than get kicked out of the gym 4 lyf!

If that is the only facility in the building, and he has employees. He has to turn the hot water back on, big code violation, I don't care where you live. Call the local building, or health inspector, that will fix this skin flint. Then stop going there so he won't be making the money to pay the fine. Oh did I mention I'm a disillustioned American worker.
