The Mythos are an excellent all-around shoe. Sensitive and precise. You can fit it tighter for more power, or looser for all-day routes. Not quite as strong for bouldering or steep routes as a more specialized shoe. And a bit painful if you are going to climb jam cracks a lot. But great for face climbs, multi-pitch, slabs. And still good for cracks and steep stuff, as long as they are not your specialty. The men's version is unchanged. They simply added the tan color in addition to the original purple. Th fact that the shoe has been unchanged for many years is a testament to the design. The new women's version (green) is designed for a women's foot. I believe it has a higher arch, and slightly wider toe box.

I only have had the Cobra model of La Sportiva, and they where great. What about Miura (La Sportiva) and Mesa (5.10)? Anybody could tell me his opinion about those two? Any differences between them?

Mythos are great all-around shoes. Super comfy. My only complaint is that they don't edge real well (maybe I just need a resole). But I plan on buying some MadRocks for steeper, edgier (sp?) routes, and keeping my Mythos for everything else.

Any differences between them? Miura is the lace up Cobra, edges well, heel hooks well, great for facey stuff, moderate overhangs and most bouldering Mesa is based on the pinks (5.10 anasazi lace-ups to you noobs) but with a fiberglass sole or insert on the sole that makes them very stiff. I found they fit differently from the pinks and certainly different from the miuras.
