Having a full rack stolen is one of the worst feelings in the world!!

My rack was stolen while I was in NH three years ago. Luckily, the police managed to recover almost all of it. I was incredibly grateful since I didn't have insurance.

I'm sure you have done this already, but in the off-chance you haven't, make sure you report the loss to the police with any identifying marks that might be on the gear. I would also let IME know about the lost gear since they are the only climbing shop in NH that sells consigned gear (that I know of).

Keep an eye on ebay also.

Hope you get it back!

Holy hell dude, I hope you've learned to bring all your stuff in with you for the night. Especially that much worth of gear. Hope you get it all back though. Damn that's gotta suck.

Know the feeling, but not quite to the same degree. Had a rope, set of stoppers, singles of Tri-Cams, and about 20 biners stolen roughly two years ago at T-Wall.

The only consolation I had was the rope that I had stolen from me had only two falls left... perhaps bad karma caught up to the thief.

I hope you get your gear back, bro...

Bad news.

Got homeowner's insurance? Many policies cover articles stolen from your home. Don't know if a vehicle located on your property, as in this case, would qualify or not. Worth checking.

Check your automobile policy as well.

One nice thing about Japan - not much theft.

Thanks for all the sympathy and advice. The police are looking, IME has an eye out, All the area climbers are looking as well. With any luck it may turn up.

You left off the last part. May I? Thanks.

...next to the body of the SOB who nicked it.

There. Somehow that seems more appropriate. Good luck, I hope you get it back.
