okay, here's the deal .. i'm trying to relocate to CO, but it's an icky, complicated mess at present and i didnt want to send a mass pm, so i thought i'd take the lazy way and just start a thread in community ... :D (bats her eyes) anyways, i know that it's cheesy, but going through this sucks and i figured that getting as much positive energy as possible on this relo wouldnt hurt. i have a pretty important meeting about the whole thing tomorrow (friday) @ 2p central and would appreciate all of the prayers, good juju, and well wishes as possible.

Hey good luck to you :!: :!: :!: However, does it have to be CO? I mean, if things don't work out, Phoenix has mucho climbing and a better job market. I came out here for the outdoor activities, and I found it easy to find employment in the Phoenix area. Just a thought. I hope it works out for you in CO, though. :D

You know relocation isn't all that difficult anymore. HAve you tried he internet much? I was able to get a job out here through the net before I ever left Louisville. That's significant b/c I have a daughter to support and couldn't afford to just dirtbag it until I found a job. Anyway, it's gonna be great for you to get out of Dallas. I lived in San Antonio for a while and, while better than Dallas, it isn't much of a placve for an outdoors enthusiast. Keep on working at it and good things will happen!

Here's my part of the deal to send our climbing compadre off to the beginning of a something great: I'll yank out an atlas and open it to the destination point: Colorado. I can then haul out that pink granite rock I filched on one of my favourite alpine day routes that has good energy in it. All the Qi (pronounced chi) she needs will go into the rock, and into the state of Colorado thus facilitating the great move. It at the very least allows me to indulge my irrationality... (my anti-religious super logical brother in Colorado would be mortified - LOL!) :P

thanks, atg. i cannot begin to express my gratitude for your confidence. .. especially since you, of all people, know how badly i want this move and what i've gone through to get this far. hopefully after it's sorted out, we can send an FA in the desert somewhere to celebrate .. i'll even buy the bridgeport and steaks this time .. though i'll allow the master chef be in charge of preparing/grilling .. ;) best, amber

Hey Amber: You'll do fine. You and your little one will be in the mnts. this fall. Just look the 'judge' in the eyes and tell him the truth. The truth always wins out. If not, I'll club him with my cane. Charlie

haha .. thanks. unfortunately, the hearing got cancelled at the last minute and my attorney said that we'd discuss everything in greater depth next week .. arg, why does the justice system move so slowly .. keep the good vibes coming though .. i've got a little man over here who desperately wants to live in the mountains and bike through streams and creeks and visit the desert .. (after my heart with the desert thing .. i'm so lucky)

In reply to: problem is, dear ol dad and step mom arent so good with the truth. we'll see, though .. i'll be wearing my little power suit with freshly painted toenails .. maybe my sense of professionalism will amplify the truth. Ah, yes, sounds exactly like my ex (only there wasn't and still isn't a stepmom). Just make sure the judge isn't the wife of a former employee of the small company you work for  This just gives you and your attorney one more week to prepare to kick butt!

Amber, my heart goes out to you. Sorry it will take longer to find out if you can move. My roommate's sister is going through a similar situation. Chloe's father is a real piece of work. Lying manipulative bastard. His parents aren't much better. Makes this whole process really hard on her.
