I just have a dumb annoyance-a biner that came glued to a card. I cannot get the adhesive off, and when I tried, all it accomplished was to spread the gunk all over the entire biner and it's going to gum up everything. I have tried: scraping it isopropal alchohol (I could have been using water for all its effectiveness) running it through the wash machine with my clothes nothing seems to work and I'm too cheap to throw it out. Just on the offchance someone knows what to do with a gummy biner...

Go to a paint store and get some goof off. I work for a paint store and have used it to remove many gummy substances.

I'll only say this once.... Iso propyl IS water compared to Laquer Thinner. Use that stuff, I never tried goo gone, but a quart of LT is probably cheaper. Anyway...Its all good, bill

5F5 It will take off anything up to and including epoxy resin. It is OK on your skin provided you neutralize it with soap within 15-30 seconds....depending on your pain threshold.

Be real careful and check the biner for any stress marks or micro fractures. I just checked the BD website and apparently you are not supposed to remove the card from the biner for safety purposes. Guess you will have to buy a new one or gamble with your life. ummm... just kidding seriously though did you try peanut butter? That always works when I get gum in my hair.

WD-40 is what I have used in the past to remove gummy adhesive from metal parts.
