Because it looks impossible. I want to be able to do what I once thought impossible. Plus I love the outdoors.

Okay. Today I had a lacrosse game. As the starting goalie, I was pretty confident going into it. But the problem with this is that I always have to fight to keep my goalie position with the other one. So today I take a major wrong step and dislocate my knee (not unknown to happen, it's so common, in fact, that when it does, I just get right back up and do what I was doing). Pulled out of game. I know my climbing partner is on the other side of town - climbing - at the time of this game. I go to meet him. I'm bummed because not only am I slightly injured, but the replacement goalie does a DAMN good job. Now I have competition. So I spend the rest of the afternoon in the sunshine, in the woods, doing something that I love, and something that - at times - makes me feel almost superhuman. THAT is why I love climbing. Nothing but me, the rock, and my belayer.

I climb because I love the feeling when I am up on the rocks. Plus I love being outside. I can't stand being inside for very long. I just love to climb!

I climb for a lot of reasons. Sense of acomplishment. To see a view from a hard to reach place. To enjoy the outdoors and it's beauty. It gets me to places that I normaly would'nt have gone. Gets me away for the city. Get to meet good people with the same intrest. Keeps me physicaly active. Adreniline feels so good! It makes me happy and balanced. My reasons are a lot one is that it kinda runs in the family as a natural talent. two, i find meaning and satisfaction during climbing. Meaning to life and satisfaction of myself and my surroundings. third, because i'd like to improve myself and help others to improve. four, i'm not sure right now. But, I'll think of something later.

I climb because i'm afraid of hieghts! It gives you a better understanding of the ability to respond to fear...either couragously or cowardly. It gives me more courage to stand up for God!

1. To get to the top. I can't explain the rest to another human, because it has to do with me. 2. Because I love it. I don't have to explain that to another climber, because it has to do with all of us. 3. It gives me an excuse to cruise rc.com!

I climb because spiderman was always my hero and I want to be him. Mostly I climb because not everyone can do it and I love the outdoors and it is a major rush.
