Yeah we definitely need a lot more numbers to keep track of, and having 5.37's will make all our weenies feel much bigger.

who cares. If he claims it is a 5.16a, maybe it will attract attention and then someone will repeat it, simply to prove him wrong. Then they can give it a more precise grade. However, until someone repeats it, the grade stands. So stop arguing about it, unless you plan on repeating the route. Once you repeat it, you can bitch and moan all you want.

Yes I do care if he claims 5.15c, first off when the Spanish Climbing Community contacted Fernandez. They asked him to climb the route or at least give it a good burn, in their presence. He refused saying if they didnt believe that he climbed it then they could get on it themselves. What BS this guy spends 4 years of his like ftrying to climb it and then when He finally does no one is around to see it yet alone believe his claim. And as for climbing the 5.15c, yeah i flashed it last week, and went ropless. So now everyone, I am the strongesdt climber in the world!!!!! ahahahaha

One of the basic ideas of the site is that users search through the forums to see what has already been posted about the topic they want to discuss. This cuts down on the number of repeat threads of the same topic.

One of the basic ideas of the site is that users search through the forums to see what has already been posted about the topic they want to discuss. This cuts down on the number of repeat threads of the same topic.

Search through forums if you have a gear question or what find info on places or things of that nature is fine. but If you have an opinion question on a topic, that you want to discuss, then you need to start a new tread. it doesn't matter if the same topic was discussed a year ago. opinions change and topics are good discuss and maybe their is a new point of view. discussing things is good. post all the new tread you want. but if you going to ask "what is a grigri" and start a new post for that, i'll shoot you myself(just kidding :D ). Its easy to search a forum and find facts, but you can't search forums for opinions, they change and they are always a good discussion. Just because you come on the board so often that your tired of hearing dumb question, well i say tough, we all were new at some point. I've read people's post and they at like they own this board because they are "regulars", well thats trash, this board is everyones community, people have the right to ask questions if they want. thats what the board is hear for. Just because your tired of reading posts that you've seen a bunch times, doesn't mean they should stop, you don't own the board, it not suppose to suit your individual needs, its for the community.

oh yeah, also, who gives a shit if he claims 5.15c. personally i think he used really bad judgement to do so, but it was his call. He is a strong climber, but his claim is mostlikely false, we all know that, no one takes he grade seriously and he's lost a lot of credit as climber. Many people have put on on the spot, and he has made himself look like a dumbass every time. So basicly, he's made himself to known as a joke. but as far as the climb and grade goes, who cares, it hard, very hard, we'll never climb it, so it doesn't really matter now does it.

Ya I agree, but it's not like he even stated an opinion, contributed anything or asked a question that made sense.

I think everyone should really stop picking on this guy. He has every right to rate his route. I know a lot of you chase those numbers. You think he is an asshole, then get on his route and prove him wrong. For you to say it can't be that hard without even trying it or seeing it first hand is just as bad as what you are all saying he is doing. You don't feel he has any right to give it this rating, well none of you have any right to say it isn't. Or, he has a right to say it is and you have a right to say it isn't. Pick one :x
