What is the best time to go to Pirates Cove? I was thinking of going this weekend but it looks like high tide is 11:51AM. What is usually the best time to go climbing here?

First time I've heard anyone mention that place in years!
As I remember tide is only an issue on some of the cave problems way around to the left. I'ts pretty greasy if it's foggy so an afternoon is proabably better anyway.

Dont the lifeguards chase you off any more?

No lifegaurds around that I have seen. I wasn't sure if it was an issue or not. I went there once at night and the water was up to the stairs. I was thinking the morning fog might back the holds greasy too so I'll go in the afternoon. I just wasn't sure how long I should wait after noon for the tide to go back down a little.
