Hello everyone, I have a new pair of the BD Bionics. I notice at the rear of the heel plate there is a hole which looks like if could be used as an attachment point for a heel spur. Does anyone have any experience in making a heel spur for the bionic? I'm thinking of making a screw-on heel-spur, with a strap to reinforce the spur against the leverage of a bat-hang. Or will I have to do what I did with my old pair and weld one on? Any ideas/suggestions/experience? Thanks K

You have the right idea. All you need to do is tap out those two holes so that you can use 1/4 inch bolts(use lock nuts). The original holes are to small, the bolts will bend when hanging off just one spur. Now for the spur just make a baseplate and weld either an old front point or a homemade spur on to it. I've tried both and designing your own point is cheaper and better if you figure out the correct pattern (you want the tip to be very agressive). An ancle strap is a must, you can cut a slot in your homemade jobies or wrap it a couple times around the old front point. A friend of mine is just about to start selling his contraption in local shops. If you would rather skip the experimental stage and buy one, PM me.
