Update for climbers headed towards San Diego's Mission Gorge. The Bouldering area by the river across the street from the main climbing area is now closed for preservation. But anyone headed to the gorge shouldn't be discouraged of this. There is alot of good sport climbing on metamorphosed granite to be done at the Gorge. And maybe 3-5 miles east is the Santee Boulders. Excellent bouldering problems to be had Happy climbing, and if new to SD, I'd love to show you some other climbing possibilities in and around San Diego. Ben

Really? The riverbed is closed? That's a shame, because that makes Pink Boulder inaccessible! Pink has the sickest and most severe collection of mantels and overhanging palm friction/slapfest nightmares on earth! For those who have worshipped at the altar of The Mighty Pink, this is a dark day indeed.
