In reply to: gatorita= gatorade margarita? Absolutely. Rumored to have been developed, or at least immortalized, by Dr. Coomer and his clan of bigwall fanatics. One new years we put gatoritas (made with snow) head to head against the best Margaritas made in the traditional blender style. In the blind taste test, gatoritas won. Before I climb: 16 oz. of fresh brewed coffee (strong and black) with a carb-laden breakfast. While I climb: A 75% water, 25% Orange Gatorade Mix in my hydration pack. After I climb: A cold beer (preferably a micro-brew like Hurrican Reef Carribean Style Pilsner.) That evening: A 50/50 mix of Gran Marnier and a VSOP Cognac! Any questions?

Mountain Dew. about three liters usually does it on an all day bouldering binge, two cubes will do to replace the 2liters. but for ling climbs i recommend water. with mountain dew before and after climbing. do the dew!

My drink: Herbal tea in the morning with a continental breakfast, on the route: a gatoraid type mix of 1/4 lemon 1/2 orange squeezed, 1/8 cup sugar, 1/2 tspn salt, with 32 oz of water. I'll make two of these and carry and extra gallon of water in the van for getting back. After the climb, a double frozen margarita. ---Escale
