Hey man, I'll give you the tour of Indianapolis climbing. I can do it from right here... there is 2 indoor gyms, 1 shopping center with rock wall, and ice hanging off overpasses. Good luck! I'll be coming to Vermont for my tour soon.

Indoor will most likely be your only climbing, Chicago and Indy have recieved quite a bit of snow lately. The closest place to outdoor will most likely be So Ill unless your in southern indy. If you are in southern indy Red river gorge kentucky might be climbable or new river gorge WV depending on your transportation. None the less it will be cold and I would suggest climbing 2 or 3 grades below your norm if outside. If you have the balls and are willing to freeze I can give you some decent routes in So. Ill. to try out. P.K.

damn, so let me get this straight. you got glue ups, ice drips under overpass, and a climbing wall in a grocery store? and i thought vermont was the climbing capital of the world... getting down south for a real day of climbing is probably out - i've only got a couple of hours monday evening - so beta for best gym (bouldering?) in indy? the grocery store sounds like a good option "clean up in isle 5". -bp

In the Tory Allen photos she is climbing in a sporting goods store... that is Galyans, the grocery story your talking about. lol
In reply to: so beta for best gym (bouldering?) in indy? I've only been to the original Climb Time in Fichers. It is pretty cool but I've never heard them play any music that you can actually climb to. That is a real problem for me, music is a driving force at an indoor gym. I hear, from the locals, that the Climb Time Towers on the west side is much better.

The place I work just so happens to have 10,000ft of climbing surface, 33ft tall walls, and a seperate bouldering area. They also sell Redbull.
