My girlfriend and I are looking to take a four day weekend and drive somewhere for some bouldering over the first weekend of march.

Any beta on where to go? I haven't been able to find much decent info on what's worth the drive.

We were also thinking of going to Smith for some sport climbing, any ideas what the temps will be like first week of march?

Western Washington will likely be wet! Leavenworth has some stuff, but I've never been there to climb, might be a little cold too. I know there is a mini guide somewhere on the net for levenworth.

i'd go to steamboat rock state park and northrup canyon just outside of grand coulee, central washington.

there is a ton of un-climbed stone and established problems up to V12 or so. northrup is the bomb with bulletproof granite. grand coulee is a great place to cruise around, put up some new lines, and have fun on existing problems. besides, march is pretty prime; it won't be rattlesnake season yet.

of course weather can be a total crap shoot that time of the year, but if it's going to be nice anywhere, it's grand coulee.

Oh yeh, kinda forgot about that place. I used to camp there before I climbed and remember stuff everywhere. I'll have to head over there.
