Actually a 38 would equal 5.15c or 9b+ which is what Spaniard Bernabé Fernández claims his route Chilam Balam is. Do a search on this site or better http://www.8a.nu/eng/ to get some of the story.

The story is in
http://www.desnivel.es/object.php?o=8157
http://www.desnivel.es/deportes/escalada_en_roca/object.php?o=8244

It's in Spanish, though, and no other climber has confirmed (nor downgraded) it yet

This route is severely overhung, but seen from 'Down Under' it should be not too bad.
