firstly i wonder how long it would hold Secondly im sure you cold lay a big peice of plasitc down and put glue all over if then put sand on it then put it on the wall. Thirdly its prob expensive to cover a whole wall in it. But it would be kinda kool

yeh i think you mean the texture paint that is applied to the plywood. I have never done it myself but have heard it is quite expensive and will make you go through your shoes faster.

oh.... if your talking about the paint..... ya it's pretty much sand and paint mixed together... also lots of threads on that... you'll be able to find the correct ratio from those threads as well. too much sand means it won't stick to the wall... too little and it's pretty much just paint which is slippery

Sprayed in concrete works well and many commercial companies build the fake "rock" walls. I don't think either of these options would be economical for a personal wall, but if you have that much money to blow I have a long list of gear you can put a dent in. About personal walls though, I'm putting one in my basement and painted plywood is all you need. If you want to be ale to smeer you can use textured paint. I picked some up at Lowes for around $20 a gallon. Metolius makes some if you want brand name for around $50. You can also pick your favorite color of paint and mix in some packets of deck texturizer or go steal some sand from a playground sandbox.

use this stuff Durex Texture paint Sand Finish! I got it at lowes 4 gallons for 30.00 and they tinted them for me for FREE! I was able to cover about 4 CDX's pretty thick, and even! I then bought about a gallon of sealent and sealed it! This stuff I would not worry about it running your shoes into the ground. Its not that sticky, just helps me and the kids against the splinnters and it looksm COOL
