Warming up in the Gym

I'm looking for some sort of warming up program or something to use at the gym.

I usually just warm up the joints (i focus mainly in the arms and shoulders - my weak points) and do a litlle stretching. Then i get on the wall and do some easy traverses arround the gym, and then start moving up the dificulty. But i really don't believe it is suficient.

I'm a weak climber, and i would like some credible info (not your personal testemony on your self-improved "Just Jump Right To The Wall" program  ).

Thank you! Obrigado!

thats pretty much the way i do it.

maybe run a little before you stretch (no good stretching cold muscles).

My way is similar to that with a few differences.

I start with real juggy traverses, all open hand holds, for 3-4 minutes. Then do a wide assortment of stretches for about 10-15 minutes, then start climbing on easier routes and work my way up to harder routes.

Dont forget to do it at the end of your workout too

Drink lots of water during the workout as well. Joints like water!

I always start with some mild (and I mean mild) stretching of the arms, then hop on some jug and stretch my legs on various positions on the wall. I then traverse for a little bit, 10-15 min, then hop on a stemming route in a corner. this really stretches out the body!. then hop on something at my onsight ability to get a little pump, then work "project" route.

after i stretch startin from neck all the way down to feet/ankles, i hop onto some easy V0 problems and sne dthose a few times. After my blood gets goin i do a couple easy campusing routes, after that i hit my redpoint projects, its a warm up that takes prolly only 30 to 45 min. and i usually do a lil stretch before i go home. i has worked great for me so far
