I like to climb big rocks, and small ones, and in-between ones. How I get up there is my business.

I like more bouldering, though sport climbing is great training for endurance. Still both are shit compared to trad (which is in case shit compared to ice and alpine climbing). Then again if I need a quickie a quite often head for the nearest boulders and do some routes.

bouldering because of my power. However, I have enjoyed sport routes, particularly the shorter routes with the more strenous moves. I've said it before though, If I could get into good enough shape I'd take a crack at trad. there just seems to be something pristine about placing gear and leaving nothing on the rock when you are finished

If you combine both you get a great sense of accomplishment. Or at least I find I do...the only problem is it is kind of dangerous. Find a decent size rock face maybe 20 30 feet+ and just work it to the top, no rope. The sense of danger is a rush. But it is kind of dangerous so ya...i guess its a personal choice.

If I can only pick between the two, then bouldering. Otherwise I would say trad.

I tend to prefer bouldering due to the fact that you can head out on your own and get alot more climbing in than if you were with a group and having to belay others. That being said, I usually go sport climbing alot more, I guess since the people I climb with prefer sport. I climb with beginners alot, It just seems they prefer sport to bouldering...Difficulty factor I guess.

I don't really care as long as I'm outside and not at work. I love bouldering cuz thats where it all started for me and I love clipping bolts too. Heck, I've even done some trad leads if a line inspires me.

Wow, the trad climbers seem to outnumber the sport climbers here by a considerable amount. I sort of feel the opposite of what most people here are saying. After my last few trips to local trad crags I have realized that I definately prefer sport over trad and bouldering. I like to worry more about the climbing at hand than when and how to place gear. The thing I enjoy most about climbing is the movement of the sport. This is probably a bad opinion, considering that I am surrounded by most of the South's largest trad crags.

I prefer both. Bouldering is fun in that its usually the hardest, most powerful moves, however usually the hardest lead routes are usually sport.

I rarely bring the right gear for proper sport climbing. You know, wrench, crowbar, etc.

bouldering is far better, a more social activity. When sport climbing someone is stuck on belay duty while others are climbing. When bouldering you can switch positions (spotter, climber), and routes much easier
