I know everyone has a right to do whatever they want with their bodies, but here's a little topic I'd like to throw out there.

First of all, if you are one of those people that is either too cool for t.v. too smart for t.v. or feel a need to comment on the fact that you don't watch that much t.v. please don't respond (although I can't stop you). Nobody really cares if you don't watch t.v. and we know you're lying anyway.

For those of us that do watch t.v. you may have noticed the onslaught of new shows that have to deal with makeovers. There are makeovers for homes, rooms, people. I was thinking, especially for the people makeovers, don't these people consider that beauty standards are continually changing? These people are making drastic surgically altering procerdures to their faces, bodies and what-not to fit a cookie cutter standard of beauty we hold today. Like a track home. One day they will look at the current trend and regret everything they have done (maybe, maybe not) because the new standard was the way they were.

I admit I'm not the most attractive person in the world (or in any given room even if I'm the only one in it) but to give myself another look seems like I would lose my individuality. I'd become everyone else. Maybe it's that thought that makes me different but it's something that can be said for many people.

One thing I admire about climbers (and other groups...) is that they refuse to cookie cutter their image to mainstream. Instead they cookie cutter themselves to other climbers.

Don't be stupid man. You only need Prana when you get into 5.13d and beyond. Anything under that you can scratch by on Verve and climbing shoe t-shirts.

It really hurts to see so many people feeling like they have to get in the race and prove they are worth something, when the truth is, real worth isn't external. You can't earn it, or lose it. Everyone has inestimable worth, because it's how we were made.
