How to Surf

I've been slacking for a few weeks now, and I can sit start, lay down start, drop knee, jump onto the line, jump off of the line, and jump straight up and land on the line. However, I can not get surfing. It looks like you are swaying the line from side to side, however I can't get my line too far off center. Any tips on this trick would be helpful.

Peace

If your slackline is too tight, you won't get much of a sway to the side.

My suggestion:
Point your feet off at an angle and practice, practice pratice. Or try keeping the front foot straight with the line and turning the back one.

(crappy photo but note the one foot more or less straight and the other turned)

It took me longer to get comfortable even on mild surfing than it did to do line transfers, while others are just born naturals at surf style.

I've been keeping the line tighter in order to get more air, so I will have to try loosening it to get the sway. Do you bounce from side to side, or just let your feet sway underneath your body?

Just try loosening it up and it'll make sense. It's not bouncing from side to side just swinging.

The way I visualize it is keeping my torso in one spot and swinging my feet from side to side. Kinda tough to explain, but your feet go back and forth, and your shoulders don't go anywhere. Good way to start.

Thanks for the replies. I will set up my crashmat and work on that this weekend.
