I've never been but it looks really fun. Especially this summer when it's 80's and 90's during the day.

So who's been?
Did you like it more/less than normal?
Anything to remember that you normally don't have to worry about?
What light sources did you use?

Thanks

I have been night climbing quite a few times. Some of them were unexpected, but other times I have chosen too. The last thing I did was Walk on the Wild Side in J-Tree.. Way fun!

Night bouldering is pretty cool. The problems will seem completely different. Make sure to bring a couple of lanterns, headlamps just wont cut it. We usually start our sessions at 5:30 and go until we are fried. Sometimes its 10:30 before we are done.

i've been a few times before. in bishop, it gets like 100 degress during the day...so my friends and i have gone down to the happy boulders at night during a full moon and climbed to our hearts content. however, the moon's light wasnt quite enough. i would diffenently suggest the headlamps and to make it even more of an event, candles to light up a cave problem or in pockets for fun. just be careful as the problems do seem way different without being able to see the feet as much

I went last weekend! I loved it. We started @5 am, so I guess it's called morining bouldering, but it was still dark. We had 2 dive lights, one a headlamp, and the other a hand light. Truely a unique experience!

Nightbouldering is amazing. Down here in the dirty South it is so hot and humid during the day that night is a welcome relief.

Headlamps definantly do cut it. They work just fine. And if you are lighting the rocks up like a movie set, why not just climb in the daytime. Nightbouldering is definantly about the environment, the ambience. A full moon definantly makes for a surreal experience. There is a field here with boulders right on a golf course. The full moon on those wierd-shaped, white boulders is definantly amazing.

peace ,
