I'm looking for a reusable alternative to screamers, and I came across this:

Does anyone know anything about this thing?
Their spec sheet actually mentions using it like a screamer (for impact force reduction), but I haven't found one to buy to test. Seems like it would be a more useful alternative to screamers, since you could reset/reuse it.

It looks more like a belay device than a screamer. Although I do see the diagram where they have it attached to a piton. Interesting concept. Here is another option to consider:
