[quote="dynamicpanda"]Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. They have a different song for whatever I am doing. Also one of the greatest live bands ever! Yea, dude!!! I got Bela to autograph my stomach once!

The ONLY thing to listen to while driving through the mountains in the morning to your crag of choice is Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. In the gym something with a fast beat is nice.

The best CD that was ever played in any gym was "Smahing Pumpkins Greatest Hits." That's my 2 cents anyway.

Uriah Heep, Mott the Hoople, Rick Wakeman, Wavey Gravy, The Flying Burrito Brothers and King Crimson for the climb; Engelbert Humperdink and Dean Martin for the rap. My daughter found a pile of my old albums a few years ago, took one out of the sleeve, turned to her sister and said, "Get a load of the size of this CD!!! This thing is enormous!" PTN

Lately I can't get enough of the eagles, but I would never turn down the Pumpkins, or Zwan for that matter.

Nice casual topic... Mainly radiohead which is kinda weird considering it is mostly gloom-rock... Depends on activity and mood: Bouldering (solo): Radiohead Aid (solo): Radiohead, Mahler´s 5th Symphony, Ben Harper Bouldering (with friends): Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Cake, Guster and Zeppelin Trad: never with music At my old gym in the states they would play Bela Fleck and Guster a lot... I liked it for the communal chilling. On the other hand Wednesday night was ladies night which meant Sarah Mclachlan, INdigo Girls, and occasionally Celine Dion. I never ever sent anything hard to Celine Dion. Cheers, Peroxide

Haven't used Bela Fleck yet but I can see where that would work. I like String Cheese Incident for climbing or the Cowboy Junkies.

Rusted Root on the way there , Jimi "all blues" on the way home. lots of ben harper fans out there. He's a love machine. "live from mars" probably the most influental album of my life. Its all about the love man :)

being the freak i am it's either country, soundtracks, pink, or any of les claypool's stuff (fav is frog briggade). I usually don't listen to music while climbing unless i'm in the gym or i remember my player while bouldering.
