Does anybody just slackline with their climbing shoes?

barefooted is the way to go. Because climbing shoes tend to be stiffer than your feet, they are less prone to bending under your weight. Your weight is thusly distributed more evenly on the line while you wear the shoes. I find it much more challenging an entertaining if you use strictly your feet.

Another fun game is to take the top of a bongo board and lay it perpendicular to the slackline (on it) Then, once it's balanced, jump on it! the results can be quite enlightening to novices. But to seasoned slackers, it makes for a rousing game of "what can I fall on next?!"

No, climbing shoes are the worst things to wear for slacklining besides flip flops, but the bongo board sounds like a good idea, or possibly suicide. I agree, barefoot is the way to go.

I gave it a shot once. Tennies were far better. Barefoot is great as well. Given a nice landing zone where I'm not going to jab something into my foot, bruise a heel, or break an ankle, I'd go barefoot.

Barefoot is the only way to go. Well at least in my personal opinion. I've tried with climbing shoes tennies and flops and all that came about was too much support and not enough feel. i never though i could get too much support but dude when you land wrong with shoes on lets just say OUCH!

I've slacklined in climbing shoes a good deal but my favorite is by far flip flops. Though lately since I have been wearing shoes more when I slackline my flip flop ability has gone down.

I've found the surfing's a little easier with climbing shoes on.

I also like to concept of going shoes on.. it offers a bit more of a challenge... especially when I'm going no-hands.
