I have been looking for similar info. I'll toss this over to Regional Discussions where I hope it gets some replies.

d.l. bliss state park (west shore lake tahoe) has the best bouldering in the tahoe basin. park at 1 of 2 pullouts just north of park entrance. one group of boulders is across stream and up the hill, other group is right off the road. grouse slab boulders at donner summit are also excellent. lots of large free-standing boulders. north side of school rock at donner summit has numerous stepped slabs with lots of problems. above the gully on west end of snowshed wall (donner summit) are a few good boulders. old county boulders in tahoe city (off old county road) are very sharp but probably worth a visit. pie shop in south lake has lots of problems right off the road on the way to the crag. rainbow (west of truckee) has a handful of quality boulders on granite slabs next to the river. on right side of road between the rainbow lodge and rainbow climbing crag. split rock (and satellite boulders) at donner memorial state park also worth a visit. for donner summit, d.l. bliss s.p., pie shop, and split rock, check out the bouldering section of mike carville's rock climbing lake tahoe. enjoy.

The above list is good for a start. While at Donner also check out the Saddle Boulders. They can be approached by driving down the old train track road through the snowshed. Drive through all the tunnels until you reach the second (?) right turnoff. Park and the boulders should be visible. Good selection of mostly hard problems. Other areas exist thoughout the Tahoe area, but a local tour guide might be necessary. BTW, I slept in your front yard on the way to Baja several months ago. Heard you moved north to experience the winter climbing. Cheers Dave

Ditto. Bliss also has a good boulder in the park near the bottom of the hill. Tahoe view estates has great bouldering as well, its just past the pie shop on Sawmill road take a right into a housing development or park near the fishing pond and explore the hillside. There is a cool house built on top of a boulder there. Lots of fun stuff in Desolation wilderness but thats mostly for backpacking.
