The triple crown costs $50 per comp. or $125 for all 3. Do you have to pay for the comp. to actually climb? Anyone ever go and climb and not pay?

In reply to: The triple crown costs $50 per comp. or $125 for all 3. Do you have to pay for the comp. to actually climb? Anyone ever go and climb and not pay? You have to pay. There are already too many paid entrants. If you show up and try to climb without paying, you are just getting in the way of those who paid to be there. Some people may sneak in, but that is incredibly bad form. If caught they will probably ask you to leave.

I'm hoping that you didnt mean it the way it sounded... I'm hoping you meant it innocently and that you didnt want to compete but just climb... but no, you cant do that... even spectators have to pay... and trust me, you'll get enough free stuff to cancel out having to pay... but dont try to cheat the system unless you want an assload of climbers pissed at ya.... if one climber does it, it can screw all of us climbers over and we wont get to climb there anymore...

I have never competed and never wanted to so I just wanted to go hang out and climb but I guess I am going to wind up paying the $125 for all three.

were you asking about paying for competeing or entrance fees?? either way, its better that you pay. after all youre just supporting other climbers.
