according to meteofrance website, from which I analysed the meteo datas of Paris and Auxerre (Fontainebleau being midway of these 2 cities), I can tell you that for January :
* the average low and high temperatures are 32°F and 44°F (0 and 6°c), * the extreme low and high temperatures are 5°F and 60°F (-15 and 15°c), * the average number of rainy days is 7 (the average number of rainy days is 5 to 7 days each monh!), * the average amount of rain is 60 l/m² (I let you translate this one!) (the average amount of rain is 50-70 l/m² each month of the year too!!!) The winter is supposed to be the best period to boulder in Fontainebleau - I personaly prefer the spring or fall where I best enjoy the forest).
