I went to Eldorado Canyon yesterday and had a perfect day! Blue skies, great temps and NO people. We hiked up the West Ridge and saw one couple in the Pony Express area, otherwise, we didn't see another person the entire time we were climbing and hiking out. It's nice to know you can still have a solitary experience in a usually overcrowded playground.

I'm jealous. I'd take Eldo on a busy day, which I hope to in late October. I've got a wedding to go to in Beaver Creek on the weekend and Eldo Monday thru Wednesday. I hope I have a few days as good as yours was.

People got turned away over the weekend due to the fire, so it hurt park attendance I think. That will probably not be the case now that it has rained all day. Last Saturday it was a ghost town.
