I recouperate. I didn't climb yesterday, but I did hit some fierce mountain-bike trails. It rained in the morning making the black-diamond trails muddy. After a few spills, I now walk funny from the boulders and felled tree trunks in the path (mental note: get a gell-filled seat). So, I am here, on the computer doing as little as possible.

Think about climbing, download climbing videos, plan trips and hike around to find new bouldering areas. It might be sad but I'm happy.

read and eat bad food. try to motivate myself to stretch. look at the guidebook and pretend i'm going to flash something tomorrow. repack my car. think about being a RICH, itinerant, unemployed climber.

Climb. I'm a cyclist, who climbs to get a break from riding. Oh, and work to pay for both my habits.

for cross-training: hiking and swimming and cycling for goofing around: karaoke (but lately it's harder to find people to karaoke than to climb with)

I play pick up soccer, lift, run, sleep, study , or maybe head out to hang with the guys. You really shouldn't be asking this question though, ya know... unless your brain was switched with a turnip!

I am a college student and I play football. Mostly I would like to sleep on my non-climbing days, but I ususally end up working and going to classes.

It really depends on where I am and whom I’m with. If we’re near a city, I like to check out the local flavor (bars, restaurants, clubs, etc.) If we’re out in the backcountry, I like to take short hikes, lounge around and read, meditate, etc. (And as sick is seems, I like to clean my equipment…I know that’s going to get some responses from the peanut gallery! ) *Peace* ~Hanger

Days off??? hmmmmm? I love to garden...spring and Summer the garden takes all my time. I have a beautiful garden, cottage style. Multiple areas, that are serene...Shade under my apple tree. Sunshine on a hidden brick patio. I have a vegetable garden, the gives me a pluthera of vegetables, and sunflowers for the birds to eat. I also, spend time in my home...just piddling around, getting life going...paperwork. On off days, I also, do yoga...(haven't in about a month) I also spend waaaaaaaay too much time here...on RC.com but, that's ok with me...Spring and Summer...will be putting that time into real rock!! Travel!!!! Whoo hoo!!! T

Like Mr. Sharma, I too like to partake in the smoking of certain plant substances on my rest daze. If SHARMA does it, it can't be all that bad? Can it? a bus

I agree with finaway and holygecko. Climbing is a harsh addiction. If you get too far away from it for too long a time you begin feeling wierd (withdrawls). Peace ~tommy
