I haven't tried this yet on RC, but this is how you do it in code:

The "target="new" is if you want your viewer to open a new window when they check you out. This way, they don't have to ever leave RC.

plenty nervous about this. it is like attempting a hard on sight in front of a huge, discriminating crowd.

but alas, here a link to my brand new site:

(how do you make this link active?)

it represents my first try at the information super highway.

so fiend....for the benefit of all on this post. Plz forgive me for repeating but I would just like to know WHY "url=http..." tag works and the tags do not. I'm not showing any "url" tags in html scripting dict look-ups or anything in the "HELP" area here. Is this 'secret' code. . Am I missing something.. :?:  :?:

thanks much ~phx~

Not many sites make it onto my favorites, but yaay for you! The code itself could be 'flashier' but honestly your content is what's making me stick around. I'll be checking back for updates! Best of luck to you!

Love it!!
You should share some of the beta and photos on RC.com.
The photo of Lyn Hill in a purple unitard. Classic.

It's BBCode, stands for bulletin board code. Pretty standard fare on, well, bulletin boards such as rc.com.

Your site prominently mourns the "recent death of American Democracy." What do you have in mind? This last election certainly seemed democratic, even if you don't like the results. Indeed, given the increased turnout one could argue that this was a much more democratic election than any in recent memory. Or perhaps you are still bemoaing the Florida mess from 4 years ago. Anyhow, I was genuinely curious about what you might have had in mind.

Oh, otherwise, nice site.

philosopher,

You're right. The outcome of the election was a result of the American people speaking, and therefore represented a true democratic process, unlike the previous election.
My view is that the White House is grossly misusing this mandate to govern in a most undemocratic way, quite clearly favoring power and corporate welfare over the good of the people and our resources. Sorry for being unclear about this topic. I am not used to spewing political rant, but the way George and his cohorts rules does push my buttons.
