I was reading an interview with Tommy Caldwell in a issue of "Urban Climber" and Tommy said that climbing outdoors makes him weaker for climbing inside and climbing inside makes him stronger outdoors.

I guess indoor gyms aren't too bad after all.

Well don't go by one person, especially a well-known. Though I agree with him, and it seems you as well, it could differ for people. My view is that climbing outside has more focus on obtaining exposure and absorbing the surroundings. Studying routes, following maps, maintaining an organized inventory of your gear on deck, and while on route you can flex your gear placement skills.

At the gym, with some music bumpin, your main focus is the movement on the wall, aside from that it's chalkin up, and exchanging beta while shootin the shiot.

For me atleast, indoor, I work on the physical barriers and outdoor is the mental. The best thing about indoor for me is the music and a few people that contribute to good laughs.

Whats your gym like :?:

Man, isn't there an easier way to tone my lats, abs, forearms, etc.?? Maybe something that doesn't involve ropes?

Jog, push-ups, sit-ups, leg raises, "superman" extensions.
