My position as the best climber in the family is going to be usurped. My little brother, 15, is gonna be out climbing me soon. Once while we were out climbing together, he onsited a 5.8, but said it seemed really hard. After pulling the rope I started to lead the same route. "Damn, this is a really hard 5.8" then to my dismay I fell just below the anchor. Once I had been lowered I consulted the guide book and surmised we were on a 10a next to the .8 we wanted to do. He is 15 doesn't climb too much, he lives in chicago, and onsited a 10a. It took me about a year of climbing almost every weekend to onsite a 10a. I give it a year or two til he starts to kick my a$$. Anyone of you guys have little brothers or sisiters who can or will soon out climb you.

None of my siblings climb, but I do remember when I realized that my little brother could beat me up (he was no longer so little). I'll assume that its akin to that :?
