I've actually been trying to work this out with my family before posting something about it, as we have a lake house about half an hour (less, maybe?) away from Rumney that could be used by at least some of the users. I think that, in order for that to work, it will have to be sometime in late fall this year or spring/summer next year. But, if you guys want to organize some shiznat for the time being, that's cool.

I have ropes and quickdraws. I will be in Maine for the summer working at a camp. I plan on spending at least two of my days off climbing. I would like to make it out to Rumney. It is not that bad of a drive and I could do it as a one day trip. I know that there is some route information on this site, but it would be great if there could be someone there that has climbed there before. Let me know if you might want to go one day this summer. I will have some flexability with my days off.

That's a great idea, you guys should definitely go to Rumney. I can't believe you haven't been there yet! It's the only place I ever go, and I think you will love it... tons of great routes, which are completely safe and well bolted. Not too far from Concord, either.

we all really want to go to rumney, it would make it so much more fun if it was a rockclimbing.com meeting. the only reason we havent gone yet is because were all under 17 and we have no waywhatsoever of getting there because our parents, like most parents think were going to die.

that's wierd, it posted my message twice. Anyway, I figured it was your parents who were keeping you from going. Maybe you could bring them with you!

bringing them with us would probably cause us to die. not to mention the anxious gasp you will hear if one of us were to fall.

Jules: I like the sound of the cottage, Lew actually mentioned it to me earlier. I was thinking of heading that way around labour day weekend, may I suggest that as a date. Diane: maybe I could convince you to do a climb at Cannon one day now you're an RC dude, you gotta walk the walk I'll see how this one pans out, I'm interested to hook up again but not committing at this time guys.
