have really enjoyed all that the site has to offer and am looking forward to others viewpoints.

i dont know about ya'll but the climbing in winter/on ice thing doesnt appeal to me too much. im not a huge fan of cold. just lookin for some feedback on what ya'll do when it gets cold.

You still can climb in the snow .... however most 'warm season climbers' prefer indoor climbing in the winter.

Last January when it was cold I went down to Tenn. The T-Wall can be quite warm when the sun is out. Bouldering is a good cold weather rock climbing activity.

On a south facing crag, I've climbed in a T-shirt when the temp's in the teens at the car. And this is the Rockies, at 6,500'. Poke around, I'm sure you can find something in the south.

Only changes I make in cold weather is the clothes I wear.

Shoot me a pm sometime you want to go outside and climb. I go most every weekend, and am not far from Jackson.

I'm in Memphis over the Christmas break. I don't know of anywhere to climb there. In fact, I know there IS nowhere to climb there, but I'd be happy to come up to Jackson if there's something to do up there.

I'm in Knoxville and there's a pretty cool gym here near the UT campus. Chattanooga also has a few really awesome gyms. You should stop by if you're ever in this part of TN.
