Does anyone know anything about getting into the X-Games Speed Climbing or Bouldering competitions?

I believe the good people who produce the x-games reassessed their broadcasting of rock climbing and realised that climbing was about as exciting as watching paint dry! Which, and I don’t care what ya’ say, but it is. Naturally climbing got the boot, so as to make way for the synchronised ski-do bikini high jump. So I’m sorry, but your dreams of a Mountain Dew endorsement are dashed.

climbing is not a part of the xgames anymore last time i heard. please let me know if i'm wrong, but i know for a fact it wasn't part of last year's competition. it has something to do with mass marketing from what i've heard. black diamond just doesn't have the same mass market as vans. i personally don't mind, but there are some who feel jilted by the mass-media. i really don't care whether enyone thinks of climbing as an x-game-worthy sport or not. i have a home wall, but i dont consider what i do at home to be real climbing. i would equate it to practicing for football. it is physically similar to the real thing, but a world apart.

He's right, it's not in the X Games any more. Which personally I think sucks. Even when it used to be on and I hadn't started climbing yet I loved watching it. Maybe we should march on X Games headquarters...
