In reply to: i'm looking for a place in montana that would have bouldering, sport, and trad in the same area. anyone that could give me any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it. areas where the weather isn't to extreme. I'd say Missoula might be your best bet. Bozeman has a fair amount of trad and sport, but is lacking in bouldering. The climbing I have done in the Missoula area has been very fun, but limited due to time, not quantity. Perhaps someone more local could give you more info...perhaps Fredo... As for the 'extreme' weather conditions, August is perhaps one of the better times of the year to climb in Montana. Late summer/early fall climbing in the Gallatin Canyon is hard to beat, but I'm a bit partial. :D Tom

you might ry up at the Kook by Eureka. they have some really good routes up there. many mods, good rock, close approaches et Al. there is a guide out for it, but I can't remember what it's called or even who put it out.

Stone Hill outside Eureka or Lost Wall outside Kalispell. Down near Hamilton there's some good stuff too!
