I'm thinking of going bouldering to the Gunks New Years Day for a couple of hours, since I'm up visiting friends in New York anyway. The weather is supposed to be warm, so is bouldering an option this time of year? I climb about V5-V7 (I'm hoping V8). Are the places hard to find using the guidebook? Any info would be helpful.

if u can get to the west trapps parking lot u should be fine, and if u are still having trouble finding things, just ask around.
