A button head is an old style 1/4 inch x 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch rawl bolt with a split shaft .

Generally not used much anymore and should always be treated as suspect, especially when coupled with an old Leeper hanger. (which have been recalled)

"Hi, we're the Quarter inch buttonheads, 'cause we're shallow and undependable."
