Oh wow, that was an awesome trip report. I can't believe you solo'd that. The pictures are very dramatic, I think the name is good. You totally made me want to run out and climb the mountains AND be happy to sit at home in the safe warmth at the same time. Impressive!

i have to agree, good job. always good to hear the average person (no insult intended, hehe) can still be adventurous. you don't need to be an elite climber to do something amazing.

In reply to: Trip Report: Potential new route: “Drama Queen” (Grade IV, 1200’, 5.9+, WI 3, M4) January 22nd, 2005 After cleaning, scrubbing, washing, and packing, I left Billings at 3am on Saturday morning with 3 hours of sleep under my belt. I was able to drive past the second bridge on the Rock Creek road in the mountains just south of Red Lodge with relative ease, and then started punching through mashed potato drifts of snow as the road wound its way to higher elevations. I hit a particularly long stretch of drifted snow at about 6 miles from the Glacier Lake trailhead, got high-centered, and spent two hours digging a 9,200 pound Excursion out of the crap. The irony of what my license plate reads was inescapable: ALPNLYF. Alpine life indeed. Smooth move on getting your gas guzzling, POS SUV tank stuck on this road. Couldn't find a worse vehicle to hog the road and suck down as much gas as possible? Keep doing your 'first' ascents and fuckin' up the environment.
